Richard C. Hildebrand, CFP®, AIF®

Principal/Partner

Richard (Dick) C. Hildebrand, CFP®, AIF®, is principal and partner of NEXUS Financial Network, where he provides comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services to help individuals and small business owners meet their financial goals.

Dick has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and specializes in investment management, retirement planning, and estate planning. He works closely with clients to establish investment objectives and asset allocation and monitors their investment program performance. In addition, he provides help to manage qualified retirement accounts, including profit-sharing, IRAs, 401(k)s, and TSAs.

Before joining NEXUS, Dick served as a personal and business financial planner for American Express Financial Advisors for 11 years.  A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional since 1988, he has been a member of the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners since 1994. He is registered as an Investment Adviser Representative and a Principal and Branch Manager of NEXUS Financial Network. Dick holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 22, 24, 63, and 65 securities registrations, and has his health, accident, and life insurance licenses. He received a bachelor's degree in marketing/management from Pennsylvania State University in 1971.

Dick has resided in the same house in Wexford since 1978 with his wife of 45-plus years, Donna. Their three children are grown and have moved on to their own careers but still return home regularly. Fortunately, they are within a short flight or a long car ride away, so Dick and Donna can spend time with a new granddaughter. A tennis player, but one whose game seems to have left him, Dick still enjoys tennis along with golf when he gets together with his eldest son. Dick enjoys going to the office but spends his leisure time woodworking and oil painting, mostly of family members taken from old photos and now new ones of his granddaughter. He is active in various art groups in the area and has served on a number of boards, the latest being the North Hills Art Center. When in Florida, he enjoys long bike rides on the beach and ocean fishing.

David A. Eppley, CFP®

Partner

David Eppley, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional of 25 years, is a principal of and has been a partner at NEXUS for the past 15 years. As a CFP® professional, David helps families and small business owners manage and protect their wealth. He reviews tax returns; helps clients set up estate plans and retirement plans to save money on taxes; keeps track of insurance coverage and makes sure that clients have the right types and amounts; and makes investment recommendations for clients that will help them meet their long-term goals. Although he enjoys working with all kinds of people, David finds it particularly satisfying to help widows and divorced women transition through difficult times. At a time when they are in upheaval, David takes care of his clients, helping to simplify the financials and make their situations more manageable.

Prior to joining NEXUS Financial Network, David was a financial advisor for 10 years with American Express Financial Advisors. For several years, David authored a biweekly column in the Bucyrus Telegraph Forum called "$mart Choice$," which offered frank, practical information and guidance to motivate people to achieve their financial goals.

David graduated from the Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University in 1984 and was—and still is—a huge fan of the late Woody Hayes. To better help his clients, David undertook the in-depth coursework needed to become a CFP® professional, which only 20 percent of all financial planners hold.* He holds FINRA Series 6 and 7 securities registrations and is registered as an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®.

David and his wife, Sue, have been married for 24 years and are the proud parents of Laura, a college senior at Duquesne University; and David, a sophomore at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School. Sue is active in the community, running the booster club and concession stand for David's football team. She also teaches business classes at Duquesne University and Robert Morris University. David and Sue are active members of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wexford, Pennsylvania, looking to help others in their spare time. He admits he doesn't golf much, but he is always looking for an excuse to head to the golf course. Known for his cooking, David often makes his favorite green lasagna Bolognese with béchamel sauce for family and friends. He is always searching for a great risotto recipe, if you have one.
